Entertainment of the Week: February 18th – 24th

NBA Game of the Week: Rockets at Warriors
This matchup has been a great one for the last few years, and has often been featured in the playoffs. Harden is in the midst of his historic scoring run of games with at least 30 points (watered down a bit by the fact that he needs 30+ shots most nights and 15+ free throws to get it). I’m sure every team wants to be the one that stops his streak. Individual records aside, these are two of the top teams in the West so it’ll be a solid, high-scoring game filled with probably around 100 three point attempts. Tune in to TNT at 8:30 on Saturday, February 23rd.

NHL Game of the Week: Penguins at Flyers
This is another stop on the Stadium Series, which is a cool concept. If you haven’t heard of the Stadium Series, it is a bunch of games in the NHL played outdoor in football stadiums. They give a feel of hockey how it originated: out on the pond with your friends. The Flyers will host the Penguins for this matchup at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Aside from the outdoor aspect of the game, these two teams hate each other and always have some good, scrappy games. Tune in at 8:00 pm to NBC on Saturday, February 23rd.

Premier League Game of the Week: Liverpool at Manchester United
No question about the game of the week this weekend in the Premier League. Liverpool heads to Old Trafford in what is always a heated, passionate fixture. Liverpool are tied with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League AND have a game in hand. Therefore they can’t afford to drop points and lose their advantage on the title race. Manchester United, on the other hand, have a 1 point lead over both Chelsea and Arsenal for 4th place, and can’t afford to drop points in their battle for a top 4 finish. Should be a great one. Tune in at 9:05 am to NBC Sports on Sunday, February 24th for this matchup.

Weekly Movie Recommendation: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
The first How to Train Your Dragon was amazing. The second one was alright as well. How well this movie does will probably determine how the franchise will be looked at as a whole. I’m all about the animated movies so I’ll give this one a go.

BONUS Movie Recommendation: Alita, Battle Angel
I would have recommended this one last week…had I actually written the Entertainment of the Week article I was supposed to write. This is an interesting looking movie, and I’m not sure what to think about it. It kind of gives me Ready, Player One vibes and since I really enjoyed that one after initially having no desire to see it, I’m going to expect a solid performance from this one.
