NFL Game of the Week: Seahawks at 49ers
The 49ers are still undefeated and Jimmy G seems to be getting better and better. They have not had the most difficult schedule, nor have they faced an elite quarterback this season. They will go against both on Monday Night football. Russell Wilson is in the conversation for MVP this year, and the Seahawks are at the heels of the 49ers (8-0) at 7-2 in the NFC West. I will officially acknowledge the 49ers as a top team in the NFL if they win this game. There are no other excuses I will be able to use. Tune into Monday Night Football for this matchup.
NBA Game of the Week: Bucks at Clippers
Coming into the season these were pretty much the consensus top teams in the NBA: the Bucks the best in the East and the Clippers the best in the West. Right now they are both 5-2, which puts the Bucks at 4th in the East and the Clippers at 3rd in the West. The season is still early so there’s plenty of time to establish themselves as the best once again. Regardless, this should be an entertaining matchup as reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (I had never typed that name before, just insane) and the Bucks take on reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. Tune in Wednesday, November 6th at 10 pm for this one.
Premier League Game of the Week: Manchester City at Liverpool
I’m so sick of Liverpool’s ridiculous luck. Late penalties and lucky comebacks have kept them from dropping points and from losing a single game. Manchester City is without a doubt the next best team in the Premier League and I’ll be rooting heavily for them this weekend to crush Liverpool and restore some semblance of order to the universe. Right now Liverpool holds a 6 point lead on Man City and are playing at home with a chance to extend their lead to 9 points and really take an early command of the league. I’m expecting a tight battle… but I’m hoping for 7-0 Man City. Tune in Sunday, November 10th at 11:30 am for, most likely, my dreams to be crushed once again.
Movie Recommendation: Midway
I haven’t heard too much surrounding this movie, but from what I’ve seen it looks like a great film for history buffs out there. Midway was a battle that took place approximately 6 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War 2. This movie covers the event as told by those who fought in it. It seems it will have a unique combination of historical storytelling and big budget cinematics. The film is absolutely packed with stars though, so I have to imagine it will be solid. I’m not going to list them all, go to the IMDB page to see the star-studded cast. This movie comes out Friday, November 8th. Check it out and let me know what you think!
