NBA Game of the Week: Pacers at Cavaliers (Game 2)
Since NBA playoffs have arrived there are a ton of great games to choose from each week. What makes it even more difficult is that that during the course of the week each team plays each other multiple times. However, I have a definitive choice this week for what game I think will be great. I’m going with Pacers at Cavaliers. Lebron had won something like 20+ first round games leading up to their embarrassing loss in Game 1. Because of that, I think he’s going to be an absolute monster in game two. Any time that Lebron goes off it’s fun to watch, and I believe Game 2 will be one of those games. Tune in to TNT on Wednesday, April 18th at 7 pm.
Premier League Game of the Week: Tottenham at Brighton & Hove Albion
I’ll be honest, this isn’t a great week for Premier League soccer. Manchester City have already claimed the Premier League, and no top teams are playing each other. That makes it a bit difficult to pick the game of the week here. I’m going to go with Tottenham vs Brighton. Tottenham are currently in 4th, 4 points back from 2nd place Manchester United. They’re also 3 points back from Liverpool but with a game in hand. That all being the case, coming in 2nd is a real possibility and they’ll be pushing hard to get into that position. Brighton can occasionally give teams problems so hopefully this will be a hard fought game at home for them as well. Tune in to NBC Sports Tuesday, April 17th at 2:45 pm.
NHL Game of the Week: Golden Knights at Kings
My solid prediction streak came to an end last week with my Flyers v Penguins pick, which was a 7-0 massacre in Pittsburgh’s favor. My pick for this week is because I still am enthralled with this Vegas team. They’re up 3-0 and I’d love to see them finish the sweep. They’ve never lost a playoff game in their history. I’d like that streak to go a little longer. As a Sharks fan I obviously want the Sharks to win. Currently living in Philly I’d like the Flyers to win if the Sharks don’t. But if neither can win I am all for this Vegas Golden Knights team. I can’t even imagine an expansion team winning it all their first year. Tune in to NBC Sports at 10:30 pm on Tuesday, April 17th to see if they can complete the sweep.
MLB Game of the Week: Mets at Braves
The Mets are having a ridiculous year so far (12-3). I think we’re all waiting to see how long this run goes and whether or not they’re really as good as their early game shows. The Braves are off to a solid start as well at 9-6 and putting up solid offensive performances each game, so Braves’ bats versus deGrom’s arm could be a solid match-up. Tune in to ESPN at 7:10 pm on Saturday, April 21st.
Recommendation of the Week: Rampage
We went with an intense suspense/horror film last time with A Quiet Place, so let’s get some mindless action in this week. I’m recommending Rampage, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Everything he touches makes a ton of money so I’m sure this will at the very least be quite popular. I guess we’re talking some Godzilla-like concept where a gorilla, a wolf, and a crocodile become huge and wreak havoc on whatever city they’ve chosen to incur billions in property damage (something that for some reason never gets discussed in movies). Give it a watch and let me know what you think!
