NBA Game of the Week: Lakers at Celtics
With some reconciliations recently between Kyrie Irving and Lebron James, there are rumors that Kyrie could potentially join up with Lebron once again in the LA market. For now, however, they will be facing off in Boston as rivals. The Celtics are looking to take care of business at home and continue to compete for a top seed in the East. The Lakers, on the other hand, are competing for a playoff position. Tune in to TNT at 8:00 on Thursday, February 7th.
NHL Game of the Week: Sharks at Jets
This is an exciting Western conference matchup, and not just because I’m a San Jose Sharks fan. Winnipeg and San Jose currently sit at number 2 and 3 in the West, and are separated by only 3 points. Top to bottom their team stats are almost identical, from goals for to power play and penalty kill percentages. Both teams love to score, so look for some quality offense in this game. Tune in at 8:00 pm to NBC Sports on Tuesday, February 5th.
Premier League Game of the Week: Chelsea at Manchester City
With 13 matches left in the season for both teams, this is a huge game for both Chelsea and Manchester City. Chelsea are in a battle for a top 4 spot in the Premier League, which they currently hold (4th). However, both Manchester United and Arsenal are hard on their heels, at 2 and 3 points behind, respectively. Manchester City is chasing Liverpool for the league title, and currently sit 3 points behind. A loss from either side could really hurt both teams’ goals for the season. Tune in to NBC Sports Sunday, February 10th for this matchup.
Weekly Movie Recommendation: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
This may seem a juvenile recommendation but I’m an adult and I loved the first Lego movie. It’s one of those “kid” movies that appeals to adults because of it’s hidden humor that goes over the heads of the younger audiences. Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks star once again, and about 50 other well-known actors provide additional voices of characters. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part opens Friday February 8th. Give it a shot and let me know what you think!
