NBA Game of the Week: Warriors at Thunder
I’ve recommended this matchup before because it never disappoints, especially when it’s being played in Oklahoma City. OKC fans will surely be bitter for the next 5 or 10 years at Kevin Durant leaving them for Golden State. You can expect more cupcake signs and a lot of booing. That whole KD ordeal puts these two teams on edge whenever they play each other, so I’d bet on a scuffle or two and some hard fouls in this contest, which I expect to be a close one. Tune in Saturday, March 16th at 8:30 on ABC.
NHL Game of the Week: Sharks at Jets
I have also recommended this matchup before, which led to a thrilling, high-scoring, overtime affair. I expect this one to be just as exciting, as San Jose and Winnipeg are two of the top teams in the Western Conference. I’d give the advantage to the Jets here simply because they are playing at home, but I’m sure the Sharks high-powered offense will look to bury Winnipeg in their own arena. Tune in at 8:00 on Tuesday, March 12th.
Premier League Game of the Week: Chelsea at Everton
This week has a ton of postponed games so it wasn’t easy to pick a matchup that stood out too much from those available, but I’ve picked Chelsea Everton because of how unpredictable a matchup like this can be. Chelsea has the ability to put up huge games against top teams, but then last week dropped points against Wolves. Everton has been the most unpredictable team of this decade so you honestly never know what you’re going to get from them. My prediction? Chelsea goes into Everton and wins 3-1. Tune in Sunday, March 17th at 12:30 pm on NBC Sports.
Weekly Movie Recommendation: Captain Marvel
If you haven’t seen Captain Marvel yet you probably should. Sure it’s got some controversy surrounding it in terms of an overly feminist agenda, and sure lead actress Brie Larson has been under fire for some statements made in her interviews. But, at the end of the day, this is a superhero movie and will have some great action and visual effects so don’t let negative reviews keep you away from another positive Marvel film.
